Registration Renewal in Employment:-

  • The registration is valid for a period of 3 years. You have to renewal your employment card in the month of the 3rd year of first time registration. Otherwise, your employment card will be cancelled and also seniority will be loss.
  • NOTE:However the employment exchange are normally provides a grace period of 2 months after the renewal date.  For SC/ST candidates are given a grace period of 1 year.
  • As per the existing government rules the candidates may appear at the Employment Exchange with the identity card for the renewal of registration. The candidates can also renewal the registration by post itself.
  • The govt of Kerala planned to implement the online renewal in future. If it possible means, you can easily renewal your registration from a computer anywhere that has an internet connection. Also you can take the print out of the renewal identity card for your future reference.

Process for Addition of Qualification in Employment:-

  • The candidates who achieved additional qualification after registering in the Kerala employment exchange can be added to the registration record. It fully based on the seniority of FCFS (First Come First Served) basis. So, we advised you to add your certificate as soon as possible to gain maximum seniority. 
  •  If you want to add the educational qualification, then produce your certificate to the employment officer along with the employment registration identity card. They can add the educational certificate immediately and provide the seniority of the day. 
  • NOTE: You will not lose any of the previous seniority to include the additional qualification. They do not extend the renewal date/ time to include the additional certificates before end of the renewal.
  • If you want to add the experience certificate, then you should be produced that with in 3 months (90 days) of the date of discharge. Otherwise, you will be loss your whole seniority.
  • NOTE: The experience certificate in a prescribed format which is available with the Employment Exchange Office.

Lapsed Registration (Forgot to Renewal):-

  • Those persons who forgot to renewal their registration but still want the employment department service, can register a fresh with the same seniority of the date of re-registration according to the special orders from the Kerala government.
  • The candidates who has lost their seniority of registration due to some unavoidable situation, can get restoration of his seniority by applying to the Director of Employment Exchange from under here.
